The Magic of Bees

Bees have anciently been designated as a symbol of good luck and prosperity. As far back as 3000 BCE, bees appeared in hieroglyphics and were once believed to be tears of the Egyptian god “Ra,” when they landed on Earth. The coveted honey the bees created was so precious, pots were found in King Tutankhamen tomb for his journey to the afterlife. Upon discovery ~3,000 years later, the honey was still edible!

In modern times, bees are no less impactful, contributing to every one-in- three bites of food you eat. To do this, bees pollinate millions of flowers, including one-million flowers spread over ~27,000 miles (the length of a trip around the Earth) to make this single jar.

Bees can also detect environmental dangers, having found everything from landmines and explosives to cancer. Bees are not only mythical, they’re truly magical. Enjoy this website dedicated to the most magical creatures on Earth.
